COMELETRIC packet switches are control devices with a modular construction and can be used both in standard applications and to form complex switching systems.
Their outstanding features differentiate them from most other switches on the market, below some of these are described.

CONTACT ELEMENT (PACKET )
The main feature of packet switches is undoubtedly the contact system
composed of two main elements, the rotor contact (figure 1 no. 3) and
the stationary contacts (figure 1 no.1).
The rotor contact is made of two phosphor-bronze reeds assembled
together to form a double bridge.
It is fitted onto the operating shaft appropriately insulated.
The stationary contacts similar to knives are placed inside the reeds of
the rotor contact, both are placed between two discs in insulating
material (figure 1 no. 2) thus composing the switch chamber so-called
(packet).
During every switching,  the rotatory movement of the contact, thanks
to its special shape, embraces the stationary contacts rubbing the
surfaces of both sides of the contacts.
The continuous wiping of the parts gives the contacts a self-cleaning
action.

CHARACTERISTICS

Thanks to the contact system and the high quality materials used
our packet switches are unrivalled in performance in even the most
hostile environments with a high content of dust, high salt load,
adverse weather conditions or where there are corrosive agents for
vapours in the air.
As a result, pollution from eternal agents does not damage the
resistance of the contact, on the contrary the self-cleaning effect
increase reliabilitys even in the case of very low level signals
(e.g. relay controls, meters, instrumentation and in electronic PLC
signals).
The construction of the rotor contact gives the switch a high breaking
capacity.
The direction which the rotor contact moves in compared to the
stationary contacts and the construction of the same ensures that any
sparks will not damage the contact points.
That's why COMELETRIC packet switches offer high performance when
making and breaking in application categories AC14 - AC15 - DC13 - DC14.
They can also be used in environments with temperatures of up to 45°C
without any impairment of performance even in direct current applications
and in places where there is a high level of humidity or a considerable
temperature range.

Thanks to the sandwich construction, the electric contact is shock and
vibration proof.
Both the blade contacts tend to move in the same direction when there is acceleration.
Since the stationary contact is situated between the two blades, it is
pressed onto one of the blades when the force on the other diminishes.
Lastly, thanks to the direct connection of the operating shaft and the
rotor contact, these switches prove highly reliable in all situations unlike others
where the contact is opened and closed by means of spring pressure.
